Skittles anyone?

So… there’s been a lot of hype throughout the Blogosphere and Micro-Blogosphere around the Skittles.com social media extravaganza. It’s a very brave move, but Skittles have pretty much hijacked their own .com domain and replaced it with a small widget that links to:
Friends: A Skittles fan page on Facebook
Chatter: A Twitter tracker that shows all [...]

Monetizing YouTube Mobile

MarketingVox reports that YouTube (Google) is preparing to launch and test ads on YouTube Mobile. Interesting point is that Google seems to be using the mobile platform as it’s testbed as users should be more receptive to sitting through advertisement since they’re getting something for free.
I guess the question is.. if the advertisements make downloading [...]

YouTube: Live streaming not likely

According to Silicon Alley insider in this article, YouTube (erm… Google) has never considered a live video service. Mainly due to the impact on hardware and infrastructure costs. It seems Google just doesn’t see much value in Live streaming… at this point.
I suspect they’re still trying to find a monetizing model for YouTube to justify [...]
