Google Launches the Google Chrome OS

Just when you thought Google couldn’t be more integrated into your life… comes the news that they have just launched the Google Chrome OS. This does not come as much of a surprise following the launch of Chrome a good 9 months ago.

So what does this mean?
Well in effect the Chrome OS will now allow us to use the Web as the operating system itself, putting a much greater significance on Cloud Computing and all the apps sitting on the cloud.

It also, spells the beginning of the end for Microsoft applications as more and more people opt for lightweight hardware with internet access. I wrote about this a few weeks back here.

It also means that you, and I and a lot of the rest of the world, will be Google slaves!

What do you think of Mircosoft Gazelle Browser? Still in its infancy stage at the moment. Seems like it is Microsoft vs. Google in the next round of competition.

Yes, it’s an interesting one to watch. It hasn’t been receiving much hype… but
I came across this last weekend http://bit.ly/7RJk2... quite interesting. Seems to be a direct response to Chrome and the slow demise of IE… http://bit.ly/1zJeu4
