So… after reading this BBC article about browser wars (again) a friend of mine was telling me about IE8 and I found myself responding cynically about how with Mozilla FF, Safari and Chrome… I’ve got enough browsers to work with. In addition IE8 seems to copy some of the most recent features (eg. the recent InPrivate feature).
But I had to stop and remind myself that IE still has superior market share, and when it comes to developing sites or web apps it’s always got to be catered for. Even if I wouldn’t use it for my own browsing, I have to make sure anything I work on or develop must be tested on IE.
So if anyone is interested you can download the beta version from here. I’m going to install and have a play with it later on.
