Getty in the mood…

I came across a post on the NextWeb blog about Getty Images new Moodstream product. The tool encourages the user to set the tone and identify the mood by choosing from a series of options, and then presents images and video clips (accompanied by relevant music) that suit the chosen mood.

Here’s a quick snapshot of what it looked like when I chose a relatively happy, lively, contemporary, cool and serious.

Overall, the concept, features and result is pretty impressive. Moodstream is a tool I would encourage any media agency or marketing team to use when looking for some inspiration. With a bit more time and more user defined or tagged images thisĀ  tool could end up being used in many brainstorm sessions around the world…
