I came across this classic article on the Register today…
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/08/11/georgia_google_maps_confusion/
This highlights, yet again, some of the problems with current Search Query technology and it’s ability to return contextually relevant results. While most of the hype around the semantic web and contextual search refers to general Search Engine results, it’s clear that the problem extends to other areas of the web, and the likes of Google’s Universal Search.
Should be interesting to see how the applicability of the semantic web lends itself to news feeds, and applications such as Google Maps.
